Naumai Welcome

Whakapara is a settlement in Northland New Zealand. Whakapara means a clearing in the bush.

Whakapara is now mainly a community of the
descendents of Eru and Te Tawaka Nehua,
descendents of early european settlers, farmers,
and people wanting to live in a rural area.

You will find information on this site about our marae,
our church and urupa, schools in the area and the
local community. We hope you enjoy looking at our site
