9. Matters Arising: a) 9th July 2012 Booking Ariana Reti's birthday
b) $20000 Money from Nga Whenua Rahui Trust and spent on new tables, chairs and other
items – Total paid was $20500.00
c) Kiwikiwi acct – was money from the people for a memorial but no-one agreed to the proposal, ashes were brought back and our people paid for this hui, this money was separated to be used later in time of need which arrived.

Account books are with the Accountants, waiting for papers from Kara. Lotto Bonus tickets – 40 tickets, set for the draw Sat 7 April – all money to be in by next meeting.

11. Correspondence In:
a)Tau Kopa will be attending the meeting for the visit of Ngatokimatawhaorua, 11 to 14th April 2012 would also like a menu for the 3 days that they are looking to stay and wananga with our people.
b) Booking by phone – Don Spice 23 & 24th April 2012, sent a text back informing him that those dates were free and would he like to book them
c) Booking by phone 027 277 377 Hana Stephens I think for a booking, need to get back to
her.
d) Rebecca Parker would like the use of korowai for May 11th , will pick up 9th May, graduation as a teacher is held in Whakatane.
e) Change of booking for Lorraine Johnson & Allan George
f) Tarau whanau wanting confirmation about booking ahead – Motion: Up to 2 years in advance is the limit for bookings – no advance payment required – adequate notice for cancellation – Trustees to keep names for same time bookings if another whanau cannot keep their booking for reason, they are to be notified of availability. 14.Reports:
a) Te Kohanga Reo – 25 tamariki, many new whanau have come in, mahi for this term is tangaroa. Swimming sessions have started at Kawakawa. Charter hui held and the whanau have enjoyed it. Pickle is being made at the moment.
b) Wharekai – Balconey – what is the right thing, as a seat or tell them to get off? Those things were put there for handrails and safety measures, not as seats.
c) Womens Committee: Has a balance of $2526.68. Looking having 3 course meals and non alcoholic fundraising to help.
d) Roadway: No change
e) Wahitapu: No change
f) Maintenance:
1. Hose from chiller to sump
2.Te Huihuinga needs a coat of paint and cleaning and mending.
3. Te Paa needs a coat of paint and mending.
4. More people needed to learn our water system, to many down times with the water.
g) Website: Naumaiplace ie being used, and we have now put up a facebook page, over a 1000 friends for Waikare Marae – will put photos received for the opening, Treaty claims, registration, the interest is really high from far and wide. Broadband still wanted at the marae. It does make things easier. Microsoft software not on our computer. Find a free programme to download that is compatible with what we have.
PLEASE be more observant around our marae and help out where you can. All children need to be supervised here at the marae.
15. General
1.Your yearly affiliation fee is needed now - $50 per person over the age of 18 years is the amount asked.
2. Water problem – need others to learn about our pump and water system. Check the oil in the pump system when it does not work.
