Te Matatini 2009 update (Tauranga Moana)

Nga mihi mahana hoki ki nga ahi kaa o to tatou Marae me o matou nei Hauora - just a quick sort of an update of where things are at in terms of Te Matatini Festival;

Tickets; - Just a wee reminder - time is ticking on by - the early bird prices are still on sale but the tickets are $20.00 extra if you buy them after December;
Volunteers; - Our sincerest apologies for the delay in getting back to you all about the volunteers you have offered - if you have any queries in terms of this matter - please contact Jack Thatcher and he will be able to guide you through this process - Jacks contact details are; 0272799036 - email: jackt@sportbop.co.nz. We value your ongoing support and we will be in touch shortly.
Marae Accommodation; - By now, you will all know whether or not a kapa will be staying at your marae - your team should have been in touch with you. If there are any problems - please contact: Awhina Thatcher - 0272799677 - email: awhina.thatcher@zespri.com
Haka Powhiri Wananga; - A wananga will be held at Tutereinga Marae in Te Puna starting at 6.00pm on Friday, 28th November 2008 - ending on Saturday afternoon. You are all more than welcome to attend - it would be much appreciated if you could send 2-4 representatives who could learn the haka powhiri - who can then return to their respective Whanau, Hapu or Iwi to teach them. If you have any queries in regard to this please contact Jack Thatcher - (Contact details as above) or Awanuiarangi Black; awanuiblack@ihug.co.nz. The kupu for the haka powhiri and possibly the moteatea will be available at the wananga. The intent is to produce a CD or a DVD of the haka powhiri and the moteatea for representatives to take back with them.
Aroha mai, I recently sent out a panui for the Haka Powhiri Wananga - my rorohiko kept freezing up - so, some people may have received it 50 times, and some may not have got it at all - some people got the email and not the attachment - aue - anyway, the basic details of this wananga is as in number 4 as above. Please send this email on to whanau you think may be interested in recieving this information - or you can email me their email address and I will add them to this list. Similarly, if you are getting hoha receiving all these emails then please let me know and I will remove you from the list. If there is anything in particular that you would like to know please do not hesitate to email me with your query.
