PIPIWAI’S PEOPLE YAKA

The Community hui that was supposed to have been held on the 27th Sept has been changed to the date of the next Market Day Saturday Oct 3rd at approximately 11am.
First item on the agenda is Tui Shortland speaking on the future development of Pipiwai and Whangarei District council which will take approx 1 1/2hrs followed by a korero with Busby Lawrence and Saul…… concerning their offer to upgrade the whare kai. They have, on more than one occasion volunteered their services to refit the building for no charge so long as the material is available. Now is the chance to finally get together and take advantage of all the whanau resources available instead of always just talking about doing something.

It was mentioned in the last issue of the YAKA that one of the dishes in the marae bay marie has disappeared. As it is expensive to replace it would be most appreciated if it were returned
