Rongomaraeroa Marae Hirage Conditions

Before you arrive

1.     BOOKINGS

Your booking is subject to availability and is only confirmed upon payment of $50.00.

This payment is non refundable.

2.     BOND $200.00

Must be paid prior to entry and will be refunded provided the Marae is left clean and tidy (a standard acceptable by the Care / taker or an executive) and no damages or losses have occurred.

3.     HIRAGE FEES

An invoice will be sent out by the booking officer once all booking arrangements have been finalised. Payment is expected prior to the booking commencing.

4.     KEYS

Will be issued at the time and date agreed to when booking the Marae. If you need access to the Marae prior to this time then arrangements need to be made with the booking officer, as there may be an extra charge. Keys must be returned to the booking officer in charge when vacating the Marae.

5.     GAS ROASTER and BOTTLES

Please provide your own gas bottle if using the Gas Roaster or alternatively a gas bottle can be hired from the Local Dairy at a cost of $30.00 per booking, to be paid for on pick up, any top up thereafter is hirer’s responsibility.

6.     TEA TOWELS

Up to150 tea towels are available for hire at a small cost of $20.00 or alternatively you can bring your own. Please let the booking officer know if you require them.

7.     TANGIHANGA/ FUNERALS

Take precedence over all other functions held on the Marae therefore a Marae executive member will contact you immediately if you are required to vacate the complex.

Booking Fee, hirage will be refunded and Bond will be refunded (full or part)

While at the Marae

Full details of conditions will be posted out to you with your invoice.  These include:

  • Cleaning & Equipment use

  • Removal of rubbish

  • Smoking restrictions

  • Laundry

  • Vacating inspection

  • Basic equipment you need to bring or organise additional hirage

The Marae Executive Committee reserves the right to makeChanges without notice
