Community Meeting
Last Tuesday a community meeting was held at the Duke of Edinburgh Hotel. There were over 50 community members who attended. John Singer opened the meeting by thanking the people who attended. John Galbraith then spoke to explain how the meeting came about. He stated that there had been an incident that happened in the village over the weekend which led to the calling of this meeting. John Singer then opened the meeting up for people to have their say. Different people voiced their views and that they had concerns about the young ones in the community and about their behaviour. The meeting was not to point the finger at anyone but to work out how as a community we can help these young ones. The main outcome was for the youth to find employment. Dick Hawea offered to talk to John Bostock re work. Harriet Kuru has offered to help as well as David Severinson. If you wish to assist or have any concerns regarding this matter please call John Singer on 8555005. If you can offer any work for our community youth please call Harrriet on 8555386. This can be docking, cleaning up the shed, or any other task.

Dee Hibbs is available for trims, colours etc. She is working out of Kim’s house, opposite the memorial hall on a Monday and Tuesday. Give her a call on 8555515 to make an appointment.
Chapelwick Fair
This is being held on Sunday 26th September. Raewyn is collecting ice-cream lids to use for numbering sites. If you have any please sent to school or drop off to Chapelwick or call Raewyn on 8555119. Also if anyone has any orphaned lambs they would be interested.
