PUTAHI Marae is going green with the donation of 50 native trees as part of a district-wide campaign.The trees were given to the Frasertown marae by Te Iwi o Rakaipaaka as part of their Plant a Tree campaign to reduce CO2 emissions. The campaign was launched on the United Nations World Environment Day on June 5, 2007 which this year was hosted by the New Zealand Government.
