| 30 JULY '09 WAIKATO RIVER CONSULTATION HUI | ||
| A hui has been called by the Guardians Establishment Committee (GEC) and NIWA ( a water research institute) as part of the biggest ever study to be carried out on the Waikato River. It's purpose is to understand the state of the River and then identify opportunities to restore and protect it. It is important for the Raukawa story to be heard, and for our voice to be taken into account in a rightful way as part of the plan to protect the awa.
