The citation for EVELYN MARIA (WYNYARD) TOBIN highlights her work and services over some thirty years as a teacher, advisor and developer of curriculum, assessment standards, and handbooks for teachers. Since 1993 she has served as a member of the national standards task-force, National Moderator, national and Cook Islands standards trainer, and continues to hold key development roles for the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. Evelyn is a current community member of the Mā te Reo board and is a graduate and avid student of Te Panekiretanga o Te Reo Māori. In March 2010 - Evelyn was appointed a Commissioner to Te Tauira Whiri i te Reo Maori (The Maori Language Commission) of New Zealand. | ||
