Hydro Dam activities - What do we need to know to make informed decisions?

Rongomai te Kakara.
Tawera Stream. CLearwater Hydro Scheme
Kia ora Whanau as you all know we had a number of taonga distroyed jthrough the clearwater hydro project.
We pay tribute to Rongomai te Kakara that was taken from us, in ignorance of the company to not listen to our concerns.
Further to Rongomai te Kakara, Tangiwai the waterfall was diverted, Kimiroa that was apart of underground karst were distroyed and also Ruamoko that was a small volcano looking rock that was where they put their intake.
These issues are something we are learning from and need to be prepared. Clearwater Hydro have made statements that they have the consent of the iwi, (they do not know how we work) we only ever claimed to be Mana whenua over this area as the marae, not claiming to be Iwi. Laurence Best disrespected our kaumatua by saying that the kaumatua they spoke to were more important then the ones trying to save the area, we know that this is not how we work and we are not upset with our whanau that they ahve been using in this manner, we need to tautoko this whanau and all be as one, kia kaha, our work has not finished.
At this stage we are going through a process and will update whanau when we can.
We have been told that there are more hydros coming up from Clearwater Hydro, if anyone has heard please let us know, as the marae has not heard anything yet. We want to look at the area early and make sure we have information we need to avoid anything like this happening again.
