Marokopa Marae Mataitai Reservation Application
As you may be aware now this application has been a flow on from an application to appoint Kaitiaki in 2001. The Kaitiaki application was lodged to protect our Moana and Mataitai. Our kai stocks back then were thin and needed urgent attention, and even more so now we are in 2010. In 2005 our application for Mataitai was formally lodged. The Marae continue to push for this Mataitai with continued challenges. The Mataitai is currently being advertised to call for public submissions. Marokopa Marae are asking for whanau to sign this submission to support the application for the betterment of our Mataitai.
