The close off date for the resolutions / ballot vote sheets you received in the post is the 14th October, with a hui-a-iwi held at RTB office in Tokoroa to announce the results on the 17th Oct.
If there is a “YES” received by 75% of all votes counted, for resolution “1 an 2”, then this will declare the Election Process open. Therefore from the 19th Oct to 13th Nov will be nomination period.
If only the required number of nominations are received, then no postal vote is required. If a postal vote is required for any marae, or hapū then another 25 days will be required to complete the Election Process
I have arranged for the use of the RTB Te Awamutu office in Rickett Rd for Wednesday the 14th, for ngā whānau of the rohe of Wharepūhunga to meet and discuss the hapū representatives for Wharepūhunga.
Please let your extended whānau know, as there are lots of addresses I do not have.
Hui: All 18 yrs and over whānau from ngā marae o Wharepūhunga. (Whakamārama, Rawhitiroa, Aotearoa, Te Taumata o Pārāwera)
